Francisco de Goya y Lucientes (Fuendetodos, Spain, 1746 - Burdeos, France, 1828) is a worldwide recognized Spanish painter and engraver. His beginnings defined by a classical style evolved influenced by the historical events towards new horizons not previously considered, becoming one of the first avant-garde of modernity.
Despite being best known for his paintings and tapestries, Goya stood out for his excellent technical work in the world of engraving, thanks to which he achieved his maximum expression as an artist.
