Don Quijote (escenas del Quijote)

In 1819 the Royal Academy of San Fernando set out to participate in the correction of the fourth edition of one of the most popular works of all time, El ingenioso hidalgo Don Quijote de la Mancha. It was printed in five volumes with royal typography, along with illustrations produced by excellent engravers such as Tomás López Enguídanos and Alejandro Blanco, according to José Rivelles' drawings.

The National Chalcography makes available to the public this magnificent work, one of the most outstanding of all Spanish literature and best known worldwide, in a unique and novel format.
