Amadeo Gabino was a Spanish painter, engraver and sculptor from Valencia. He began his studies in the workshop of his father, the sculptor Alfonso Gabino, to continue them at the School of Fine Arts of San Carlos and complement them in Rome, Paris, Hamburg and New York between 1948 and 1959, thanks to the different scholarships he was obtaining and that allowed him to meet the artistic avant-garde and relate to the most important artists and intellectuals of the moment.

He represented Spain in the 1956 and 1966 editions of the Venice Biennale and exhibited on several occasions in Germany and Spain. His most famous sculptures are in Linz and in the Casa del Cordón de Burgos, whose exterior doors are of his production.

He also received several awards to his career such as the National Prize of Industrial Design, the Grand Prize at the X Milan Triennial, the Grand Prize of the Ibero-American Biennial of Havana or the National Printing Prize at the Ibero-American International Biennial of Mexico
