Quantity

Antonio Lorenzo, Spanish engraver and painter, began his studies at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando, where he learned from a master sculptor for whom he always felt admiration throughout his life, Adsuara. In 1955, he began a friendly relationship with the painter Fernando Zóbel, with whom he traveled to Paris and thanks to which he began in the field of engraving, along with other artists such as Sempere and Abel Martín in the technique of screen printing.

He will become an essential engraver within contemporary Spanish art. His work as an engraver was very intense and progressive. His first folder of graphic work was published by the Museum of Spanish Abstract Art in 1964, and his work as an engraver was reflected in the exhibition Antonio Lorenzo. Some of the solo exhibitions in which he has participated are the Fortuny Gallery in Madrid, the Ateneo de Madrid or the Sala de la Dirección General de Bellas Artes, in the same city. In addition to the city of Madrid, he exhibited in places such as Granada at the Madraza Palace, at the Arteko Gallery in San Sebastian or the Valera Gallery in Bilbao, among others.
