Miguel Rodríguez-Acosta is a Spanish painter, engraver and illustrator. He began his training together with his uncle, the painter José María Rodríguez-Acosta, and in the workshop of Joaquín Valverde. Later he entered as a student at the School of Fine Arts in Madrid.

He has participated in both individual and collective exhibitions, highlighting the first individual in the Casa de los Tiros in Granada in 1957 or in the exhibition of La estampa Contemporánea in Spain, held at the Centro Cultural del Conde Duque in Madrid. Rodríguez-Acosta, not only stands out for his extraordinary work as a painter or for his elaborate folders of engravings, but he is very recognized for his work of promotion of the plastic arts, carried out with the creation of the Rodríguez-Acosta Foundation, from which scholarships and grants are provided for the research of these arts.

In recognition of his artistic career he received two second prizes in the National Exhibitions of 1954 and 1957, International Engraving Prize of Venice and in a personal capacity he was awarded the Grand Cross of Isabel the Catholic, in addition to being named favorite son of the province of Granada.
