Mario Marini is a Spanish painter, sculptor and engraver. In addition to his artistic activity Marini combines it with the teaching work in his workshop, created in 1990, where he teaches intaglio engraving of various techniques such as etching, aquatint, drypoint, soft varnish, gouace, etc. His work is characterized by the presence of rust as the main and distinctive element of his works. He has exhibited both individually and collectively, his work being represented in places such as the Ateneo de Madrid, the National Library of Madrid, the Museum of Contemporary Spanish Engraving in Marbella, the Kim Nae Art Gallery or the Sungsan art Hall Chang Wong, the latter two in South Korea.

His professional career is awarded by a multitude of awards and recognitions to his works such as the Association of Friends Award of the Museum of Contemporary Spanish Engraving in 1997, the XIII Medal of Honor BMW Painting Prize in Madrid or Finalist The 13th International Biennial Print Exhibition R.O.C. Taiwan, among others.
