Dolores Serrano Ruiz is a Spanish painter and print recorder better known as Dolores Montijano. He began his painting studies between Seville and Granada and then completed his training with trips to Paris where he met Picasso. His studies in engraving began at the Rodríguez Acosta Foundation and then continued also in Italy and France.

His work is characterized by painting and engraving with a style halfway between figurative and abstract, where color predominates over drawing. It has more than twenty works in museums and official entities in different countries, among which it is worth highlighting the Spanish Museum of Contemporary Art in Madrid, the Hermitage Museum of St. Petersburg, the Gallery of Modern Art of Santo Domingo, the Museum of Contemporary Spanish Engraving of Marbella or the National Calcography.

He has received numerous awards among which stand out, the First International Medal of Engraving and Stamping System in Madrid, the Medal of Merit of the Fine Arts by the Royal Academy of San Fernando or the Hercules Prize for culture of Alcalá la Real, among others.
