Luis Vinueza is an Ecuadorian artist. He began his artistic training at the Daniel Reyes Institute of Plastic Arts in Ibarra, and then continued his studies at the Faculty of Plastic Arts of the Central University of Quito. Later, Vinueza traveled to Spain where he continued his studies in engraving and painting at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando and received his Doctorate in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid. He has participated in numerous exhibitions, both nationally and internationally, among which are those held in Japan, Poland, Mexico and Brazil. In 1999 he won the First Prize of the Salón Fundación de Comercio de la Ciudad de Quito.
