Manuel Quejido is a Spanish painter and graphic artist from Seville. He began his artistic career in 1964 when he moved to Madrid, his initial work being framed within impressionism, being part of the group of artists of the Buades Gallery in Madrid and at the end of the 70s he joined the so-called New Madrid Figuration. Later, his work would be placed between Pop Art and neo-expressionist painting, obtaining direct influences from important Pop artists such as Andy Warhol or Ronald Kitai.

His works are mainly characterized by having a vivid and casual coloring being this a reaction to the obscurantism typical of the previous informalism. His work is found in numerous museums and public collections, among which are the Spanish Museum of Contemporary Art, the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía Museo, the Marugame Hirai Museum in Japan or the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes in Havana, among others.
