Juan Luis Baroja Collet is a multifaceted artist born in France and settled in Éibar, Spain, since 1964. He began his studies of Engraving in 1979, since 1983 he is responsible for the Calcographic Engraving classroom of the Center for Artisanal Teachings of Deba and in 1997 he founded together to Mari Fran Agirregabiria the Itzal engraving and editing workshop. Throughout his career he has participated in more than a hundred group exhibitions and thirty individual exhibitions, and has received countless awards, recognitions and scholarships, among which his selection for the Spanish pavilion at the Cairo Biennial stands out. in 2001, the Grants for Research in Calcographic Engraving awarded by the Basque Government in 1983 and 1984, the Honorable Mention at the XIV Ibizagrafic Biennial in 1996 and in the 2000 or the Honorable Mention of the I International Contratalla Engraving Biennial in 2002.

His This work can be found in prominent museums and art collections throughout the country, such as the National Calcography, the National Library, the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum, the Goya House Museum Collection or the BBVA Graphic Art Collection.
