Asunción Jódar is a Spanish artist from Murcia. She studied and graduated in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid and later received her PhD in Fine Arts from the University of Granada, where she is a full professor in the drawing department. Her teaching and research work is well known, being principal investigator of the Research Group of the Andalusian Plan of Research Composition and Narrative in Contemporary Drawing.

Her works are present in numerous public and private collections, such as the Contemporary Art Collection of the University of Granada, the Collection of National Chalcography of Spain, the Egyptian Museum of Cairo, the Contemporary Art Collection of the Andalusian Institute for Women, the Rodríguez Acosta Foundation and CajaGranada Foundation.
