Carlos González Villar is an Argentine painter who studied painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts of La Plata, in addition to learning engraving at the Taller Viejo Molino, in the same city. He moved to Spain in 1976, in the city of Ourense, where he established his residence and opened his own workshop. His work has been exhibited in spaces specialized in graphic work such as the Galería Tórculo y Estiarte in Madrid or Fundación CIEC in Galicia.

He has also participated as a guest in international exhibitions such as the International Triennial Graphica Creativa in the nineties. He has received awards such as the Special Engraving XXVII in the Hall of the Provincial Museum of Fine Arts, in La Plata, Buenos Aires, or the Carmen Arozena Engraving Prize in 1990. Currently his works are in important exhibition and museum institutions such as the BBVA Foundation, the National Library or the Deustche Stiftung Foundation.
