Eduardo Arroyo was a Spanish painter, engraver and sculptor educated in post-war Madrid and exiled in Paris until 1976, when he returned to Spain. His recognition by the Spanish art scene came late, receiving the National Prize for Plastic Arts in 1982 and the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts in 2000.

A leading artist in the Spanish figurative world, linked to the Pop-art movement, his works are translated from a critical and ironic perspective of the political, social and cultural systems. In addition to his graphic work, he has stood out for his sculptural facet and for being the author of numerous essays and stories. 

His works form part of the collections or exhibitions of the most renowned national and international modern art museums, such as the Museo Nacional - Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, the IVAM in Valencia, the MOMA in New York, the New National Gallery in Berlin, the Berardo Collection Museum in Lisbon, and the National Museum of Modern Art in Paris.
