Camillo Tinti was an Italian painter born in Rome. He was a student of Doménico Cunego. He was hired by Galvin Hamilton, a Scottish painter of neoclassical style and seeker of antiquities in Rome, to engrave some plates of his Schola Italica, among these works were, The Marriage of St. Catherine by Parmigianino, Meleager and Atalanta by Polidoro Caldara, and The Christ of the Mount of Olives by Giovanni Lanfranco. Throughout his life he devoted himself to making many engravings of artistic reproductions, such as the previous example, many of them being of a religious nature.
