Enrique Brinkmann is a Spanish artist from Malaga. He began his studies as an Industrial Expert, although his contact with the world of painting made him abandon his industrial studies and dedicate himself to painting in a self-taught way. His hometown hosted his first exhibition in 1957, the year in which he founded the Picasso Group together with other Malaga artists. Four years later he would leave Spain, residing in Rome, Berlin or Cologne; cities where he will begin his learning about engraving. He returned to Spain in 1966, at which time he devoted himself mainly to painting and engraving until at the end of the 70s, after the Franco dictatorship, he decided to take part in Spanish political life, being elected Senator for Malaga in Parliament ( 1977-1979). After that, he resumed his life as an artist exhibiting, holding workshops or participating in important fairs such as ARCO in Madrid.

His work has been exhibited in institutions such as the MOMA in New York, the International Biennial of Art in Beijing or the one in Sao Paulo.
