Tomas Campuzano y Aguirre was a Spanish painter and printmaker specialized in realistically and marine landscapes. He began studying law but left to devote himself to art. He studied painting and printmaking with Carlos de Haes, although initially prevailed interest of the former over the latter.

He attended several times to the National Exhibition of Fine Arts, being awarded three times in the paint section: in 1890 he earned the Medal of Third Class and in 1897 the Medal of Second Class. Since 1893 he was administrator of the Nationa Chalcography merging this institution with the National School of Graphic Arts, participated in the engraving of the portrait gallery of the ministers of Public Instruction, collaborated in the journal "History and Art" and in the newspaper published by the Recorders society Spanish: La Estampa.
