In 1782 the draughtsman Pedro Grolliez was commissioned by Royal Order to make the views of the seaports of Spain. By October 1785 he had completed the work, which included at least thirty-three drawings, but only six plates were engraved. This print belongs to those six that were engraved in 1785.
